Following our save the date in January we are now delighted to share with you more detail on the agenda for our Pensions Conference on Thursday 7 June in London.

During the day, we will be exploring how to tackle uncertainty when our ability to predict the future has never been so challenging.

The day will comprise of short, sharp, interactive and thought provoking sessions.

Sources of Disruption and the context for pensions
Featuring Andrew Sentance, PwC Lead Economist and ex Monetary Policy Committee of the Bank of England and Michael Moore, ex-Cabinet Member and PwC Senior Advisor on Brexit.

Ask the policy makers
Our guest speakers (including Lesley Titcomb, tPR, Charlotte Clark, DWP and Chris Woolard, FCA) share their views on the key forces changing pension policy and what trustees and companies can expect and should be doing to prepare.

Avoiding the unpredictable: getting the right end game
From buy outs and longevity, to member options and super funds, we look at how the pension landscape is changing. Duncan Brown, Director of Group Pensions at IMI will discuss the journey IMI's pension scheme has taken to buy-out. Together we will be identifying the practical steps and new opportunities available for pension schemes in the future.

What might be the next 'black swan' event? How will you protect your scheme?
We will discuss these questions with a panel of asset managers covering equities to LDI and illiquid credit and ask what keeps them awake at night?

Making decisions in uncertainty: preparing for high-impact, low-probability covenant events
Few prepare for the unexpected but experience shows perhaps we should...
We'll speak to those who have had to deal with unforeseen events and ask what they have learnt from this.

Predicting the future of pensions
What will pensions and savings policy look like for future generations? Will pensions even exist?
We will be joined by Rory Murphy, former trade union General Secretary and Chair of the MNOPF and Leo Johnson, PwC Disruption Expert.
