Trustee Legal Briefing, Navigating New Legal Developments

With the much anticipated draft single code of practice due to be released for consultation this month, Baker McKenzie's Pensions Team, in partnership with the AMNT, is pleased to invite you to a webinar that will explore what the new code means in practice for trustees.

It has been reported that the new single code will consolidate at least 10 of the existing Regulator codes of practice and will include proposed greater governance requirements for trustees, including in relation to ESG issues. We will summarise the various aspects of the new draft code in the session, concentrating primarily on the areas that are changing for trustees and will have the greatest impact on the day-to-day operation of occupational DB schemes.

If there are any delays to the publication of the draft code, the team will tackle some of the other legal developments currently occupying the industry, such as measures that pension schemes should be taking to address climate change and recent case law in the area of rectifying errors to address potentially costly mistakes in pension scheme governing documents.
