In December, TPR published their consultation on the last pieces in the defined benefit (DB) funding puzzle - drafts of the new DB funding code and Fast Track regulatory regime. When the new requirements come into force it will be the biggest change in DB funding and investment strategies in nearly 20 years, with trustees and sponsoring employers of all DB schemes required to take action.
The code provides guidance on the new legislative requirements set out in the Pension Schemes Act 2021 and supporting regulations, which were consulted on by DWP last year.
