The Lloyds judgment on GMP equalisation late last year triggered immediate and intense activity for many pension schemes, typically relating to accounting disclosures for the cost of equalisation, addressing the position for those members about to retire or transfer, and communicating the judgment to members.

As we start 2019, most pension schemes will now want to take a more measured approach to planning for future work.
