Dimensional Research Insights: The State of Indexing (Philipp Meyer-Brauns)

Wednesday 14 March, 2018 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

The first index funds were created in 1971, and since then their use by investors has grown exponentially throughout the world.

As a result of the popularity of index funds, the following questions are increasingly being asked:

  • Can we continue to rely on the information contained in market prices?
  • Are indices an accurate representation of the underlying asset class or ‘the market’?
  • What is ‘Smart Beta’, and is it any different to Indexing?
  • Does the huge increase in index fund usage have an effect on investment premiums?
  • Can we do better than index investing?

To address these issues and questions, we are delighted to invite you to a special Research Insightsbroadcast on Wednesday, March 14th, 2018 at 2:00 PM GMT. Dr. Philipp Meyer-Brauns, a member of our global research team, will offer deep insights into the current state of affairs in index-based investing, lifting the veil on the real issues facing investors, and helping to answer many of these frequently asked questions.

We encourage you to submit your questions when you register for the event (a space to do this is provided on the registration page).

Please note that this presentation is hosted live and will not be recorded.
