Aon’s Responsible Investment Network Meeting – Mind the Responsible Investing Gap! Bridging Trustee & Member Needs for Better Engagement

Thursday 21 November, 2019 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

As a follow up to our recent annual conference, we are delighted to share details with members of Aon’s next event on responsible investing.

Aon’s Responsible Investment Network meeting, on 21 November, will explore the renewed focus on the role of trustees as good stewards of assets, and the greater transparency demanded through the next round of SIP changes and an updated UK Stewardship Code.

Tim Manuel, Aon’s UK head of responsible investing, will open discussion around the expectations, benefits and challenges of good stewardship and ask: How can pension scheme punch above their weight by driving change in companies and across the investment industry, and engage their members in doing so?

Attendees will also hear from:

  1. Claudia Chapman of the Financial Reporting Council to support the discussion around expectations on stewardship. Claudia was involved in drafting the new UK Stewardship Code 2020.
  2. Adam Matthews, Director of Ethics & Engagement at The Church of England Pensions Board who will share insights on what stewardship can mean in practice and what can be achieved.

This promises to be a very interactive meeting, with opportunity to participate in the discussion, ask lots of questions and hear from other trustees what they are doing in the area of responsible investing.

Register here.

5.30pm – 7.30pm, followed by a networking reception
