This half-day Conference will be held virtually on Wednesday 20th October 2021 from 10.00am until 13.15pm. We're also a free 'welcome back' gift for registered attendees!

Various speakers will consider how pension scheme investments can assist and promote the aims and goals to be discussed at the Conference of the Parties (COP26), to be held in November 2021.

Climate Change/Risk is also very relevant in terms of understanding what requirements pension trustees need to meet in order to comply with new legislation surrounding the governance and reporting of climate-related risk and opportunities.

The speakers will include Charlotte Grady of The Pensions Regulator and the Hon. Nick Sherry, Australia's great reforming pensions minister. An invitation has also been extended to Guy Opperman MP, Minister for Pensions and Financial Inclusion, should Parliamentary business permit.

The session will be introduced by Janice Turner (AMNT) and Moira Gorman (CTI) and will cover the following topics, but in particular the key priorities and challenges of how pension scheme trustees can get their investment strategies and governance right for a better world?  These will include:

>   Do companies claim’s stack up?

>   What is required to change in everyday life?

>   What can investment strategies achieve, does it vary by asset class?

>   What will it cost if we do it? and what will it cost if we don’t?
