To mark the publication of FT journalist Owen Walker’s insightful book on Activist Investment, “Barbarians in the Boardroom”, RWC Partners are pleased to invite you to a talk, book signing and discussion 5.30pm on TUESDAY 5TH JULY.

During the session, guest speaker Owen Walker will be joined by panellists Joel Hartley from the consultancy LCP, as well as portfolio managers Maarten Wildschut (Co-Head of European Active Ownership Strategy) and Corinna Arnold (Portfolio Adviser and Head of Japanese Focus Fund) at RWC Partners.

Our speakers will outline:

A brief history of activism
How US pension funds have worked with and against activists
Activism in continental Europe and how it differs to US activism
Possibility of activism further developing in the Japanese market
The role of activist investing within UK pension fund portfolios and the potential challenges

The RWC team, as well as our speakers, will then join you for drinks and canapes to continue the exchange and discussion.
