As you will be aware the Pensions Regulator regards it as critical that trustees like myself have the right skills/knowledge to fulfil their roles and to ensure improved standards of scheme governance. The Pensions Management Institute (PMI) offers awards in Pension Trusteeship accredited by the Qualifications & Curriculum Authority and recognised by the Pensions Regulator. This includes the Pensions Management Institute Level 3 Award in Pensions Trusteeship.
I have been successful in obtaining a place to attend a PMI training event and will be able to sit an examination to achieve the Level 3 Award. The training has been developed by PMI and the Association of Member Nominated Trustees (AMNT) to align with the objectives of the Pensions Regulator for targeted education fit for purpose in the twenty-first century.
I enclose the syllabus and my completed application form. I would be grateful if the arrangements could be made for the necessary payment to be made to PMI to enable me to obtain this award.
